The Foundlings

The Foundlings, the first volume in my epic fantasy trilogy, was uploaded to Amazon’s KDP late last night. It should be available for purchase on Amazon later this week, and I’m planning a launch event this weekend in celebration.

I’m excited to bring this story to the world. I’ve had the concept in my head since I was a teenager, and have worked on the manuscript in fits and starts over the last decade or more. It’s something of a relief to hit the publish button.

I hope you’ll get the chance to read The Foundlings, and that you enjoy it. If you do read it, please let me know what you think, I’d love to hear from you.

Check back here later this week for news of the official launch.

  1. Done with the first one…now I’m mad you’re not done with the second one…Hurry it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to say this is about the best fantasy book I’ve read in a long time. I devoured every page. I love the characters. I love the plot. I absolutely love the descriptions of magic you provide: they are theologically appropriate and sensical.

I will say that I wish that Onul had a closer relationship with his beings, as He does with us. I’d love to see the concepts of the vine and branches (“Apart from Me you can do nothing”) in the operations of the heroes and heroines. The concept of the indwelling of and actions of the Holy Spirit has yet to be included substantively in the work and it’s a glaring omission. I recommend you read Brother Laurence and Letters of a Modern Mystic by Frank Laubach. I think that if Doulos began to let others in on how that relationship works with him, it will weave its way through the rest of the group.

Might really make a difference in your own life too…I can’t say that I’m there, but I can say that I will work toward it for the rest of my life.
