I completely spaced on posting the next set of Kindle screensavers yesterday. The day was pretty packed, and so is the rest of the week, except for today. Today’s respite was unexpected, and I’ve got a little extra time this morning to play catchup.
Without further ado, here are the M and N screensavers.

Hi folks, welcome to the weekend. I’m still busy editing my novel for vacation. I spent about 10 hours yesterday, and probably will again today. Serious revision is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. So much for the glamorous life of the writer.
Here are the H and J screensavers. Nope, nothing for I. Enjoy.

I’ve had a Kindle for a couple of years now, and just got around to hacking it a bit. Nothing major, just customizing my screensaver images. After searching around the internet I couldn’t find very many quality custom screensaver images, especially images of authors. I found some really nice images of Asimov, Tolkien, and few others, but little else.
Go here to find them, as well as a good short explanation on how to put custom screensaver images on a first generation Kindle. You can search Google and find many sites offering instructions for the newer Kindles and the Nook.
So, I decided to make my own images. Some of these I’ll put on my own Kindle, others I won’t. Either way, I’m posting them here for your use. I’m assuming these would also work on the Nook, and since my wife just got one, I may get a chance to find out.
One of the challenges was to find photos of the authors good enough to use. There are some authors I wanted to make an image of, but couldn’t find a large enough photo. If you want an image made of an author I don’t post, let me know if you know where I can find a good sized image and I’ll consider making one.
I’ll post a few at a time over the next few days. Let’s start at the beginning of the alphabet shall we? I’d love to hear from you if you use them. Enjoy.
